“We need to talk,” Angelina said, no small talk, no smile.

Shayla raised an eyebrow. “About what?”

Angelina sat down like she owned the place. “Amber.”

The room went silent.

Shayla looked away, suddenly busy pretending to reorganize the party supply bags. “What about her?”

“Invite her,” Angelina said plainly.

“Yes. Because you’re the only one who can do it,” Angelina said. “Kai would want her there. And deep down, you know it too.”

“Amber might not even want to come,” Shayla muttered.
